Brian enters his 7th year with Torrey Pines after spending 2016 as the Defensive Coordinator at the Bishops School. IBrian stepped away from TP June 2022 – until this spring of 24.
In 2018,2019, & ’21 Coach Winterfeldt’s defense lead the CIF surrendering less than 6 goals a contest and only allowing double digits on one occasion. Brian has also mentored the top defenseman in the region and SD and Western Player of the Year 3x (Evan Egan ’18, Marco Napolitano ’19, Jackson Bishop ’22).
Brian played lacrosse at the University of Albany his freshman year before transferring to Cortland State where he was a 2x NCAA All American Defenseman and played in the 2012 National Championship game. He hails from Merrick, NY where he starred in Varsity Football and Lacrosse at Calhoun High School.
